Thrilled with this watch after about 6 months of use. Finds GPS signal lightning speed and battery life is great. Use it every day and run about 3 times a week. Loading once a week or so. Run with notifications from SMS and Facebook Messenger, etc. in the clock and it works well. Before losing the touch quite often but it has become much better with new firmware updates.
Garmin Connect is well like that app in the phone but you can switch it on to Strava that feels a little more user friendly.
Having had time for a while, I am more than satisfied. GPS and chest strap found quickly. Battery life is very good, it can handle multiple Vasaloppet I know now. I relax but not together at the cell phone so much to get notifications on your arm, get stressed by sms etc.
The only downside so far is that it does not register the correct height (but are distance measurement as it should) - have not run with GLONASS yet.
+ Battery life with GPS and chest strap. Do not download often.
+ GPS works great, get started right away, even indoors when approaching the window.
+ Many settings directly in the watch of passports, notifications (eg, noise or vibration, etc.).
+ Stylish design, the comfortable as everyday watch. Good opportunities to vary the look of the watch, such as changing the appearance of dials and vary the information shown during training.
+ Program Garmin Connect provides a great overview of the passport, the ability to rename them, etc.
+ The app works well with Bluetooth transfer of passports, the opportunity to make various settings easily and get messages / notifications from the telephone bell.
+ A lot of other features, but you have not used anything and can easily turn off what you do not want to see =)
- Would like to have Suunto ambits function with variable GPS accuracy to maximize battery life with GPS (1min precision -> 100h with GPS in cheaper ambit3 models)
Chose between the Forerunner 230, Tomtom kick cardio and Suunto Ambit3 Run
Tomtom I experienced as simple and easy, but you get less battery life, less features, less app and programs - but on the other hand it is cheaper.
Ambit3 I dropped due to less opportunities to make settings of the workout directly in the watch, the lack of vibration (like getting indication of distance / time during exercise) and is quite thick.
All three clocks, however skilled, depending on the price tag and needs.
For 2545kr I was satisfied, but there were a few hundred extra and a little more advanced than I thought.
