I have tried to find a baby monitor that has a great functionality and most importantly a good range. We live in a townhouse area with friends who live about 100-150 meters from our house. Tested this product today with the baby unit in the window facing in their direction and went there. Just when their parking was dropped coverage and I lost contact. I'd gone into their house would be guaranteed to be zero coverage.
The bottom line: this is a good and easy product for those who will use it in his own house and his garden but do not count on more than just over 50 meters range if you do not live on a clearcut in a house without walls.
Can also mention that I tested Neonate Basic with operating range to 800 meters, where the contact was broken before, so it was clearly inferior at all, in my experience.
Works quite ok, but would have liked to have been able to start melodies from the parent unit.
In addition raises the dead parent unit if the battery is bad, could have been a little more discreet signal.
Philips Avent DECT is a fully approved baby monitor. On the plus side there is the sound quality, vaggvisefunktionen and sensitivity. However, it has some negative aspects, which unfortunately is considering.
The baby unit is very large, making it difficult to place if it is only used in one place. The baby unit is not rechargeable, which means that you become addicted to be close to a power outlet, or you can use regular AA batteries that drive then devours directly. I also miss the temperature gauge for when the baby sleeps outdoors.
A disadvantage is that the battery life of the parent unit is very poor and in principle require charging after each use.
