Have had both the TI-82 and TI-84 earlier and thought to try this. This is a completely new way to use a calculator with graphical menus and mouse instead of cryptic commands as before. Feels like going from DOS to Windows much. There are numerous learning programs available for download and the full menu system is structured in a simpler way to understand mathematics. Handles all that Ti-84 can handle and then some, and that the software for the PC is significantly better than the outdated and buggy Ti-Connect. Should I give criticism, it is right that the menus can be a bit bumpy to navigate at times and you should just figure out simple things are the Ti-8x models faster. To enter the Cos and Sin requires 3 button as an example. The screen is also less durable than before, rugged devices that could be dropped without any problems. The battery is also much worse than the previous AAA batteries be changed once per semester. The price is crazy high for the ancient hardware but still more affordable than the Ti-84 that cost almost as much. The only thing that is missing is the CAS (symbol management) which also costs slightly more but this instead is approved for use on the exams. A clear improvement of Ti-84 and perfect for people at upper secondary / college and want to use it on exams but given that there are more advanced apps for Android / iOS that cost under a hundred crowns, the price is hard to justify.
