After about 30 pages print in grayscale (grayscale selected in the printer settings on your computer) are all ink cartridges out, except the black. If you take out the cartridges, it is visible that there is a lot of color left in them but they are also labeled "introductory cartridge".
My thesis is that the chips on these counts down the number of pages, whether you print in color or black and white, and then enter themselves as waste even though it is the color remains. What's worse is that now the printer refuses to print at all, despite the fact that the black cartridge is almost full.
I learn not to support Brothers scams by purchasing the Brother ink cartridges after this. It is not a question of cost, it is a question of principle.
Unfortunately I can not comment on the printer otherwise where I currently can not print, and I'm too irritated to test the scanner function. I regret my purchase bitterly.
UPDATE - Answer by Brother Support: The printer uses color to print in grayscale, even if you select printing in grayscale completely in the printer settings. If it is true and they have not managed to misunderstand my problem, it's crazy.
After a lot of searching for a printer for A3, and photo printing and any printed on both sides, I fell for this printer. Nicely packaged a little higher than a standard A4 printer. It has almost everything a small office needs and everything works perfectly. Easy installation, wireless, of course. Easy to pair with the Android app, have not tried the iPhone. Scans A4 front and back automatically and prints A4 on both sides. Fax works if anyone would even think to fax. Through the screen I can connect with the internet and apps Drop-box, facebook etc. Stylish design and easy to clean when all parts are recessed. Do not know about ink consumption is yet, but installing the cartridges was extremely easy with a very good design. This printer is perfect for my needs.
