This lens represents 1/4 of my favorite setup for APS-C cameras with Canon EF 35/2, the 0th EF 50/1, 4 and EF 85/1, 8. With APS-C you get when 16-35mm/56mm/80mm/136mm which cover most needs. EF-S 10-22/3 0.5 to 4, 5 is a truly delicious wide aperture! The sign pretty sharp pictures (quite OK level of sharpness given focal length / price), the quick and quiet AF. At the very wide angle images may be allusions to the fish-eye effect, which sometimes is a bit störigt, but when you come to know the loophole, you can get really cool and creative images thanks to this. It is anything but bright, and lack of IS does hardly improve matters. But do you have a modern camera that is capable of handling high ISO with good reduction of noise, this is usually not a concern. Personally I use this loophole much in indoor environments at parties, dinners, birthdays, shoot the kids, and the like. Then it actually flash the best aid (if you have an external that tilts up, that is!) Do you have an APS-C and want wide-angle zoom, this is the best option despite various weaknesses, then you cover a wide area (APS-C) is difficult to find at other options, ie 16-35mm (tex is well most kits Lens 18-55mm or 29-88mm, and 29mm is not much to cheer for. Chromatic aberration is at such a level that I pass as an amateur can not make any comments. However, I have noticed vignetting at maximum wide angle and maximum aperture. However, this is (what I can see) all gone at a little higher aperture. Would recommend this to anyone who wants "real" wide angle. But keep in mind that it is not a perfect lens!

Real nice lens to shoot with both interiors and landscapes. And why not funny distorted images of people or pets. Manages solreflektioner excellent and focuses extremely quickly. A little more brighter lens would work better indoors, but today's cameras can handle high ISO numbers good, so it should not be a problem, and you can shoot 1/10 second without the time to be blurred. On my lenses autofocus died quite suddenly one day, after about 5 years of hard use.

Have had it almost a year now - it is a good lens but I see that I am not using it as much as my other lenses. Simply a narrow area of ??use.

This loophole is left for a while, the only thing missing is being able to stop down a little lower, otherwise full marks!
