Was looking for a nice compact system in the slightly higher school to replace my KEF KHT 3005SE package that I had a few years and have been relatively happy with, especially to film. Before that, I owned several floor systems of higher class, but then I got tired of all that bulky speaker units, it is still compact system that applies. After a few previews on FOCAL DOME 5.1 ??and the B & W MT-30, I could quickly see that MONITOR AUDIO APEX played in a league of its own. My system consists of 4 satellites A10, A40 1 center and 1 subwoofer AW12. Together they play the shirt of many other compact system I heard, and will defintivt nearby, not to say flogging, major systems as well (for this money you should not expect otherwise). However, it takes very long to record these speakers before they sound like they should. The sound is good though directly out cardboard, no "sharp" or "angular" sound as far as the ear reaches (atleast not with my DENON AVR-3808). After 2/300 hours of play, the exceptionally high resolution sneaking and detailing ability all reviewers talked about comes. This is undoubtedly a system that is made for music and movies in HD, when everything swimmingly falls into place. The soundstage just feels right. Attendance, tinting, attack, control and definition. It is also vidutsträckt and depth at the same time. Not bad. Of course the subwoofer AW12 a very good job here, and be well integrated with the satellites. It plays deep and controlled in most situations. However, did not the usual corner position in the center position - it turns over and becomes bumligt in my listening room. A good chunk out solved the issue. I was a bit worried that the larger the A40 would not be integrated sonically to 100% with the smaller A10, then they are differently structured. But it quickly turned out that my worries were unnecessary. They match each other almost perfectly. A proof of particularly good design, build quality and design to the smallest detail. Speaker connectors on the right A40 are difficult to reach with thick bare wire to banana plug is definitely preferred here. The design on the Apex is a bit odd, and it has taken a while for me to like it. Also included is no tilting bordsstaiv to A40, so if you (like me) want to use it as a center speaker placed on the TV stand and point it upwards must find an alternative solution. This is a bit bad actually, and means that you must try a little harder if you want to create a sleek, uniform front of three speakers on the TV stand. Right now I have them placed with Sound Care Super Pikes (flat performance) that and it works well, although not with any tilt function. Since this is my first experience with the Monitor Audio i must say that I wished they had discovered them earlier when they seem to know what they are doing. Aside from the odd design and carelessness with bordsstativen Apex really a compact system by far, a system for the connoisseur where you can easily play the most and suffer maximum gaming fun! I give the system my warmest recommendations. Combine them with good peripherals (upgrades are labeled directly on these small wonders) and put time and effort into good placement and calibration, then they deserve the best possible environment to put your room rocking.
