A DAC cracking! Compared with Dacar from Hegel, Meridian and Rotel. M-DAC sounds fantastic, great sound, awesome dynamics and very detailed, can tweak with different filters and settings for those who want to, can be used as a preamp and a cruel headphone steps. What more is needed?

Like everyone else says, this is a DAC that sounds incredibly good for the money. For reference, I have listened intently at the Asus Xonar Essence One Muses Edition which is in the same price range. It's quite difficult to choose a winner between these two when M-DAC has a more dynamic and somewhat enjoyable sound at short listening, but in the long run, Asus Xonar Essence One Muses Edition a more relaxed and comfortable sound. What you prefer is matter of taste, but for me it became ASUS: one who got to stay. PS. I have also tested the cheaper Asus Xonar Essence One, and even if it is affordable so the sound can not be compared with the Muses Edition. What is also worth bearing in mind is that the ASUS comes with a built-in preamp which is ideal if you want to connect directly to a power amp without risking the speakers exploded when the windows volume goes to 100%. I lack the fine remote that came with the M-DAC.

I have had this dac come home for a few weeks and here are my impressions DAC plays clean and detailed. Puts the instruments clearly. Sound wise, I have nothing to complain about for this DAC, but it simply sounds very good. I have found new details of my old favorite albums and this DAC plays clearly more dynamic than my last. There are some DACs to choose from in this price range, I chose the M-DAC because of its flexibility. Digital outputs, RCA out, XLR out as well as the ability to run as a preamp. In my setup I run mdac ROM that advantage to a tvåkanalare and via digital out feeding on a multi-channel distributor. PC and CD stands for the signal. with the help of MDAC: n I do not have to switch cables when I switch amps. There are a number of filters in the D / A chip that you can control via remote control. The difference between the filters is only very subtle. I have tried different filters and found a favorite that I think has the best sound. Googling yields a different forum, one finds that other owners have other favorites. Maybe not the DAC's main feature, but nice to be able to affect it in any case. + Plus the edge may Audiolab for bitstream test system built into the DAC n You thought home two test files from the website and play them on the media (such as your PC) you want to test. DAC compares the input signal with a built-in reference and so some may mdac: n detect the bit stream corrupted along the way. this is the only way you can be 100% certain that your system is configured properly and smoothly. Gold worth I think. - Only minus I think this is the volume control that has a little plastic feeling.

A really nice and VERY flexible DAC. This has solved some problems in my system and brought a sound quality on HTPC playback music that I did not think was possible. The computer is now my best source suddenly, which I like a lot.
