Bought this after reading the very good and good reviews. However, so was not really my standards, and I therefore chose to return it, because I give a lower rating than the amplifier might deserve.
If I could only focus on the hardware and the quality of construction would give a clear 9/10, really hearty and well built. Many buttons and settings on both the front and on the remote control. However, I believe that the remote was slightly too "advanced". It was a jungle of buttons and it took a while to filter out the buttons that you rarely use. However, lacked one never any function which is positive. Never had to run back and click.
To the sound quality is 80W per channel (stereo 6 ohms) completely okay for the price. It really noticed that there was more pressure in speakers. There is also a lot of settings you could do to change or enhance the sound.
The amplifier had a lot of features and special functions, but this and more can be read about this just by looking through the features and specifications so I will not take up. Now why did not I think of the amplifier.
To begin with, the amplifier unnecessarily complicated to install. First did not find my router, said I wrote the wrong password and did not listen to the WPS when I tried it on the road. Eventually, after starting on Wifi process a number of times manages to connect.
The interface is relatively difficult oriented and there are several different menus that have almost the same content, but they have chosen to divide the. One example is the "Input Settings" under the "Setup" while "Input Selection" under "Options". So, after I had chosen the input I wanted to set up, I had to change the menu.
I had intended to use Bluetooth to be able to watch Netflix on my laptop when I'm sitting in the room. Although I might put 6-7 meters from the receiver, I lost contact several times and got a really lipsync problems when sound came about 1 second after the picture. It was totally impossible to use Bluetooth to something other than music (which you then obviously choose to use airplay instead).
After I searched around on the internet I managed to find that the amplifier supports Bluetooth 2.1 and A2DP only standard, which explained why I encountered the problem.
If you do not have the use of Bluetooth and ignore illogical menus, this is really a great amp. However, I think it is a little pricey for what you get and recommend to look at another amplifier in the same price range.
For the price, it is seen as a competent and easy to use machine.
Driver middle Canton Movie 165 5.1 with no problems right now and has previously driven a 5.0 Dynavoice systems.
Nice features for example Bluetooth and WLAN.
The calibration function works well.
Yamaha do good things, if you contrast rearranging much or change the HDMI cable into the HDMI changer as they become worn after a while the contacts jumps out / get bad signal, this happened with my previous Yamaha Amplifier which contributed to the purchase of this model . This, however, was a bit extreme, changed HDMI "gadgets" little too much :)
Excellent product seen for the price!
I have bought some audio products over the years and so much you get if you buy this amp. Had a 10 year old little better home theater amplifiers and wanted webradiodelen + other new features. Thought the old one was OK until I bought the RX-V479. Suddenly everything fell into place. The interaction between the speakers, especially between the front area and the subwoofer was perfect. Controlled, but you had to measure a few times with mätmiken that comes before it was perfect. So take your time here measurement is important. The sound of teams are surprisingly good for an amp in this price range. Not a powerhouse but good. The app of the phone (Samsung S4) work above expectations and do not use the supplied remote. Webradiodelen is good. Have not tested Spotify client in it. Play music from your phone or from a server worked directly. Is very pleased with this and glad I swapped out my old. What a lift. Can not really find a negative point so good it is. But I also read many tests before I struck. Reverses the not a second.
