Thought not reveal any major boost with the RIAA equalization which had to replace my old workhorse Pro-Ject Phono Box SE which added after ten years of use. Just wanted to not downgrade. But the lift was. Most significantly is a major attack on the base which also goes a little deeper. It may be perceived as a minus - no MC - I think that's a plus for us who are content with MM; the manufacturer can put more resources right in terms of gain of MM-picuper without the price takes off.

Kanon-RIAA in relation to price. As usual when it comes Rega so it's hardly an expensive outer casing paying for, but rather a well-designed interior.

Upgraded from TCC TC-750 (449: - on Amazon Marketplace) and ojojoj what a difference it made! The detail in the music is incredible! I hear stuff I have not heard before in the songs and the bass is deep and clear with good pressure. Good separation and and all instruments can fit in the mix. The magazine What's HIFI gave Rega fono MM MK2 Five stars and rated "Best phono stage, Awards 2013 'and I understand why.
